- Please sign up for after school by Friday, January 3rd by 4:00 pm for the week we return to school.
- Our first day back is Monday, January 6th, 2024. Before and after school will be offered on this day.
Elementary Parent Education Night → Tuesday, January 7th, 2025
Tuesday, January 7th is our Elementary Parent Education Night. Ada De Long, our Head of Schools, will lead this lecture style evening describing the Montessori Philosophy and how the Elementary Program is practiced at TRM.
If you are a family that is interested in learning more about our Elementary program before September 2025 enrollment begins, please feel free to register for this Education night, as it will be very informative and teach you more about how our Elementary program is run.
Re-enrollment for the September 2025 – June 2026 School Year
All currently enrolled families will receive a re-enrollment package on Monday, January 20th for the 2025-2026 school year. We will start accepting applications on Tuesday, January 21st. Applications will be processed on a first come first serve basis. Families on the waiting list will be contacted Monday, February 3rd to fill any remaining positions.
All families will also be given a form to fill out stating that they have decided to withdraw from TRM and are not returning for the 2025-2026 academic year. Please fill this out and return it to your child’s teacher if it applies to your family.
Please do not wait to hand back forms. Positions are not guaranteed and once we have opened up registration to the waitlist families they will be offered any remaining positions.
Winter Clothes Drive – Thursday, January 30th
Over the years at TRM, we have been fortunate that our students have come well equipped in winter gear during the colder months, allowing them to enjoy recess and stay healthy and warm. We have decided to host a winter clothes drive to help some students who may be less fortunate.
Our school has partnered with a school in St. Catharines and we are going to donate any winter clothes. Please bring any clothes donations at arrivals on January 30th. The class with the most clothes donated will win a pizza party on January 31st!
Outdoor Recesses for Both Schools
It is mandatory that all full day children have outdoor time throughout the winter months unless it is inclement weather. Inclement weather means it is either too hot, raining or too cold. Please send properly labelled clothing for your child to enjoy the outdoors comfortably. The Niagara Region recommends that children be kept indoors if the temperature drops below -15°C or -20°C with wind chill. So we keep a close eye on the temperature, and will always have the children’s best interest in mind. We do ask that parents send multiple hats and sets of mittens in case items get wet.
International Day
It is such an exciting time of the year when some of our students can share in front of a small audience. The Montessori Method thrives on multicultural events as it makes everyone aware of our beautiful differences. All Elementary and Full Day 5 students received information about International Day in December. Please contact Addison DeTullio, Cassidy Talarico, Megan Soloman or your child’s head teacher if you have any questions.
Please let your child’s head teacher know their topic by Monday, January 6th, 2025. The International Day presentation dates are as follows:
- Tuesday, January 21st – Grade 3 @ the Main Campus
- Wednesday, January 22nd – Grade 1 and 2 @ the Main Campus
- Thursday, January 23rd – Casa 2 FD5s @ the Junior Campus
- Tuesday, January 28th – Casa 5 FD5s @ the Main Campus
New TRM Website Launched!
Did you see? Our new website is live! A huge upgrade for us with all new photos of both campuses and our students hard at work. Plus it’s now mobile friendly and provides easy access for TRM Parents to resources like the newsletter!
Brightwheel
Have you signed up for Brightwheel yet? TRM is now using Brightwheel for tuition payments and communications for all Casa and Toddler students. If you have any questions about Brightwheel please contact your campus administrator.

This is a dress down day for all 8 classrooms. Casa and Elementary children are invited to bring in an item for ‘Show and Tell’.
